Road Project FINAL PHASE
The final phase of our road paving project began today. D&H Asphalt will begin work on the entrance drive on Tuesday, September 29, with completion anticipated on Friday, October 2, weather permitting.
The current schedule is:
- Tuesday & Wednesday: Mill existing pavement and grade the road subgrade
- Thursday: Pave the base course of asphalt
- Friday: Pave the final top course of asphalt
Because this phase involves the main entrance drive, D&H Asphalt will have additional flaggers on site to direct traffic. The board was told one lane will remain open throughout the work, so residents will still be able to enter and exit the community.
Please slow down when traveling through the construction zone, follow all directions from flaggers and construction crews, and allow extra time for possible delays. There may be periods when traffic must temporarily stop while equipment is operating or crews are working in the travel lane.
On Friday morning, crews will begin paving the final top course. They will pave and roll one lane, then allow sufficient time for the new asphalt to cool before opening that lane to traffic and completing the other side. Please be patient with the crews and flaggers as they work to maintain access while completing the paving safely.
As always, the schedule is subject to change due to weather or other construction conditions. We will notify residents if we receive any significant updates or changes.
